Mt. Cheam Business Centre is a custom designed meeting facility in the Fraser Valley, perfectly suited to the legal community for Mediations and Examinations for Discovery. Centrally located in Chilliwack close to the Courthouse, Mt. Cheam Business Centre is a spacious and comfortable meeting facility with modern decor and special sound-proofing construction throughout. Some additional features include wireless internet access, teleconferencing, and a smart TV for video conferencing and presentations.

Cost

The cost is $200 + HST for a full day, and $100 + HST for a half day. For availability and booking contact Baker Newby LLP at (604) 792-1376 which handles bookings for Mt. Cheam Business Centre.

Policies and Amenities

Cancellation Policy

Two (2) business days notice is required for any cancellation, otherwise the full fee will be charged to the booking party.

Access

The day before a set time will be arranged to have the door unlocked. For access issues or concerns, contact Tim Wurtz, (the Premises Manager for Mt. Cheam Business Centre), during business hours at (604) 792-1376, or by cell at (604) 316-1852.

Alarm

The alarm will be deactivated prior to 9:00 am on the Rental Date, and activated at 5:00 pm of the Rental Date, unless other arrangements are made with the Premises Manager. Other than lunch, if there will be any extended absences by the Booking Party, or its invitees, during the Rental Date you must contact the Premises Manager who will attend to arming the alarm during your absence, and then disarming the alarm prior to your return.

Parking

Free 2-hour parking is available on the street directly in front of, and around, Mt. Cheam Business Centre.

Kraft Services

Coffee, tea, and water will be provided for all bookings. The kitchen is equipped with a sink, small fridge, and microwave. Light lunch services are available upon request. A fee of $20.00 to $25.00 per person will be levied on the bill. Alcohol is not permitted in the premises.

Teleconferencing

A teleconference phone is available in the boardroom with speakers and hands-free capability, free of charge for local calls when only one other party is calling in. It remains the responsibility of the Booking Party to utilize a third-party service (ie. Telus, etc.) to coordinate and pay for a teleconference if more than one other party will be calling in.

Free High Speed Internet

The wireless internet connection password is available upon request.

Video-Conferencing

Mt. Cheam Business Centre is equipped with a smart TV with access to Zoom, MS Teams and power point presentation. It remains the responsibility of the Booking Party to utilize a third-party service.
